The hosts were what made the trip for me. Sandie is incredibly compassionate, and Rob is a Leafs fan, so he’s already ten steps ahead in my book. They made us feel right at home. The place itself is quiet and cozy, with lovely kitchen renovations and a private bathroom. And breakfast was just wow: Sandie made a three-course meal to order, with her secret banana bread and homemade jam. If you need somewhere to stay in Bobcaygeon, give Rob and Sandie a call.

Rob and Sandie made us feel at home and were lovely company. Their place is in a beautiful, peaceful part of town. We had a superb stay.

The room is part of the house, and you can hear Rob snoring at night. There's also a backyard shed that’s been turned into a cottage. While out walking, neighbors asked me why I was there. They said the couple argues at night and that Rob verbally abuses his wife. I heard how he spoke to her myself, though the rest of what neighbors said is their account. The neighbors apparently want the couple, especially Rob, gone. They were talking about signing a petition to take to Town Council to revoke the business license and close the place. I also believe the positive reviews are fictional and written by Rob. This place's association with real B&Bs must be embarrassing. Save your money and find a genuine B&B nearby.

The cabin, called The Maple, was bright, clean, new, and air conditioned. It’s really more of a finished space, with drywall, laminate floors, prefab trim, and vinyl clad thermal windows, and it was comfortable. There was only one chair, though, so my bride had to sit on the bed. Breakfast wasn't anything special, but if you're still hungry there's Shakers on the main drag. The quiet setting was lovely, and it was a welcome step up from the awful Bobcaygeon Inn.

The description gives you a good idea of what to expect, and it sounded right for us. I might have rated it four stars, since it was quite good but not perfect. Then it felt like we were visiting old best friends. We'll have to make a point of coming back to see them.
