Travelodge Kenora

The restaurant was clean, the food was very good, and our server was really friendly. The front desk guy, though, wasn't very friendly. Our room didn't look anything like the picture, the hallway carpet looked scuzzy, and the room itself had seen better days. Also, there's no elevator.

Everything you could need is about a 20 second walk away, and the location is prime. The hotel also has a pool and restaurant. Staff were friendly and quick, and check-in went smoothly. The bed was a hard spring mattress, not pillow top, and two hundred plus a night feels steep for that room. I called to ask about rates and they were astronomical, so I booked online for considerably less. I've always liked staying at travel lodges, but check booking apps for a better price than the call-in or walk-in rate. It's a decent place.

I had a great stay, even though this place seems to get horrible reviews. The room was nice and the king bed was comfortable, and it had what I needed for a night during a long drive. Getting back onto the highway from the location was convenient.

It felt more like an apartment building with long-term tenants than a hotel. People were running through the halls until 4 a.m., and with walls this thin we could hear the drunk people next door. I'm writing this at 4 a.m. because nobody in our room can sleep. The area felt sketchy, and I was worried about my vehicle in the parking lot. Don't expect the fancy pool or hot tub to be working. They're under construction, which seems to have been going on for years. It's overpriced and absolutely terrible.
