North Star Motel

The little extras made this our favorite motel stay: a Bischoff and a delicious homemade lemon loaf, along with such thoughtful hospitality. It was more than five-star care. We’d happily return. Thank you!

Trish makes sure each guest gets personal attention, and the service really stood out. My kitchenette room had everything I needed, and the grounds are nicely maintained. The rooms smell fresh and are very clean. Even the lobby is worth a stop.

Kimberly is a gem, and we had a great time exploring with the recommended places list they provide. Back at the property, the green spaces are lovely and quiet. We barely noticed the nearby road, and couldn’t hear traffic indoors with the window and door shut. I only wish I’d had time to try the hot tub tucked among the wisteria vines. The antique feel is so friendly and cute. Our renovated bathroom has new faucets and a tub surround, but also an adorable pink toilet and bathtub. There are old-fashioned touches all around, including things that reminded me of my grandparents’ home.

We’d gladly stay again. The rates were good, the staff friendly, and it’s only a short drive to the city centre and the Platzl. The property has a beautiful garden, gazebo, and an awesome hot tub. Our room was spotless, well stocked, and decorated with one-of-a-kind pieces. A wonderful place in the gorgeous mountain town of Kimberley, B.C.
