Crown House Bed & Breakfast

We were so impressed by the breakfast that we could take leftovers to snack on later and skip lunch, which neither of us would normally consider. There was so much food and such a good variety. Cindy was lovely to chat with over breakfast, and her recommendations were genuinely helpful. We hadn’t known about a Raptor sanctuary nearby and were thrilled to catch one of their shows after she suggested it. My friend was visiting from out of province, and we spent two nights at Crown House while visiting Chemainus. We chose it for the good reviews, even though it meant a bit of a commute to our main vacation spot, and we weren’t disappointed. Cindy is a delightful host who has curated her home so thoughtfully. The rooms are nicely decorated, and the shared living and dining areas are full of fascinating art and decor. Her China collection is phenomenal. It felt like staying in an art museum. Our private bedroom, bathroom, and terrace were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, including beach and spa towels, flip flops, and robes. I loved sitting outside with my book and looking at the lake in the morning. The spa was a great treat after a long day walking, or as a way to start the day. It was an amazing, affordable stay in a sweet little town near other communities and outdoor spots. I’d highly recommend it and would love to come back.

Cindy is a lovely host, and we had a wonderful stay. The private deck faced the lake, a lovely place to sit outside. Everything felt top quality, from the clean, comfortable room, bed, and pillows to the plush towels and full, hot, amazing breakfast. The unique saltwater swim spa was great, too. Nothing was skimped on. I highly recommend it, and would stay again if I had the chance. Thank you, Cindy!

It was my first time at a B&B, and Crown House Bed & Breakfast didn’t disappoint. Cindy was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and made us an amazing breakfast from scratch. There were lots of thoughtful little touches in our room that made the stay easy and comfortable. I’d definitely book again.

We enjoyed the nearby river and the short walk to the Duck Pond and Tube Shack. Our upstairs room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and filling, tasty breakfasts. We also liked having a door out to the deck, where we ate pizza one evening. Thanks!
