Lagana Hotel

It looks like an older hotel, but the furnishings and updates are good. My room was clean, and the staff were kind and helpful. I also appreciated the complimentary breakfast and hot coffee. The price was reasonable, and I’d stay here again. I recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but I found the place old, creepy, and scary enough that I didn’t even bring my suitcase into the room. Breakfast was poor. On a couple of mornings, I was lucky to get a muffin because I got up very early. It’s strange that this hotel can be booked through the Air Canada website. I thought Air Canada somehow separated the good hotels from the others. Either way, I wouldn’t recommend staying at this so-called hotel. Never again.

There were cobwebs and flies in the bathroom, and we didn’t have enough hot water for two showers. The floor lamp had two extension cords, but they were so tangled I couldn’t plug it in. They could have called or emailed to tell us there was no TV, even though one was advertised. Funny enough, the bar did have a TV. We won’t be back.

The rooms are clean for the most part and have a small fridge. The town’s water has a yellow color to it. There’s one pool table, and the staff are friendly. The bar doesn’t serve food, but there are BBQs you can use if you bring your own.
