My wife, who is a person of colour and has mobility issues, and I stayed here for a couple of nights before heading east. The listing said the place was smoke-free, but it absolutely reeked. Because of my wife’s mobility issues, they offered us the back parking spot for $35 a night. After we went sightseeing the next day, we returned to find another vehicle in the space we’d paid for. I left my wife in the car and went inside to discuss it calmly with the owner on site. He escalated things by calling us homophobic, ableist and racist slurs. I packed our things immediately. We’ve tried to get a refund without success and had to pay to stay somewhere else that night. Do not stay here. They were extremely ignorant and disrespectful.

Robert was friendly, kind and helpful, and the service was excellent. The place was very neat and clean. Breakfast was included and had a wide variety. They’re renovating, so I hope they’ll add better beds to attract more visitors. Robert even let us cook until 8 pm, half an hour later than the usual time.

We booked two nights, but when we came back for the second one, our belongings had been moved out of our room and a new group was staying there. Nobody had told us this would happen, and they gave no real explanation. We’d paid for two beds, but were moved into a smaller room and expected to share one bed, with no compensation. They even left some of our things behind in the old room. The place also reeked of smoke. Awful experience, don’t waste your money.

Almost everything in the listing seemed misleading. My family and I stayed here, and the cigarette smell was overwhelming despite the place being listed as non-smoking everywhere. After we left and unpacked somewhere else, all our belongings smelled of smoke. Our room didn’t lock from the outside, so anyone could enter while we were away. Someone actually walked in while I was there with my very young sibling, claiming the room was theirs too. It shook me and left me seriously worried about our safety. It seems the owner took that person’s belongings without telling them and moved them to another room. That was the management and owner’s fault, not those guests’. We had paid for the parking spot for two nights, but the owner took it and blamed us for supposedly misunderstanding him, then refused to refund us. When we raised it with the manager on site, he yelled profanities at us and blamed Expedia, the other owner and us, even though we hadn’t used Expedia to pay for parking. We left a day early and still haven’t reached a resolution. Don’t waste your money or give them cash. We were treated with a level of disrespect I’ve never experienced from a business.
