I got two different explanations for the Wi-Fi being out. One employee said it was only for streaming, though I couldn’t watch a whole TikTok video or make video calls. Another told me for three days that someone was coming to fix it. Maybe I was there at a bad time, but if staff are being told why there’s no internet, they should all be giving guests the same explanation.

I’ve stayed here plenty of times and will keep using it when I’m in the area. It’s clean and comfortable, and good value as long as your expectations are in line with the somewhat dated decor. The location is very central, though I’d use a bit of common sense and be cautious around the neighborhood in the evening.

The staff were really nice, the water was good, and the rooms were clean enough. The sheets were the main problem. They felt like they were shredding my skin, and other people staying there confirmed it. Aside from that, I didn’t have any real complaints.

The room was clean and well appointed, and the staff were fantastic. The small wing restaurant next door, which you can also reach through the motel, was very good. Outside, the place looks pretty run down and sits in an industrial part of town facing a railroad crossing, which I actually thought was rather awesome as a train nut. I’d say you could do much worse. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but if you want a clean, comfortable room and welcoming staff, I recommend this Econo Lodge location. I was nervous after reading some of the past reviews, which sometimes contradicted each other.
