Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites London by IHG

The receptionist was so pleasant and welcoming when she answered my call. As a senior, I asked about the best available rate, and she was happy to look into it. When we arrived, we got an even better surprise: she’d upgraded us to a beautiful suite. Everyone was friendly and in great spirits, and we had great service from arrival through to leaving.

We booked for a hockey tournament and spent about two hours checking in. When we finally got a room, there was no heat. Staff offered a space heater that shut off every two hours, with the weather at -21C. The place was dirty, and staff were always using the elevators. If freezing, filth, waiting for elevators, or hauling luggage up 6 flights of stairs sounds fine, book here. Complaining won’t help, management did nothing and couldn’t care less.

I was impressed with my week at the Holiday Inn. The suites are newly renovated, modern, and really spacious, with a beautiful vanity, a comfortable bed and mattress, and amazing water pressure. Free laundry made the long stay easier. There are lots of food options right beside the hotel and a giant tiger store across the street. It’s on the outskirts of town, but you still have evening you need close at hand. The front desk team deserves a shoutout, especially the lovely Filipino woman working Sunday evening, who was kind and helpful. The overnight staff, Ash and Kashmira, made the stay memorable. Ash went out of his way to get hot water for my tea and help me print something, a small kindness that stood out. The gentleman who cleans the lobby was also attentive and kind, adding to the welcoming feel. I’ve stayed in many hotels this past year, and this one really stands out. I’ve already told friends how great it was. If I’m back in London, I’ll stay here again. Thanks to the whole team for a comfortable, warm, memorable week.

Ash checked us in late at night and was kind and helpful. We’d requested an accessible room for my husband, and he kindly brought us a microwave. The room was large with lots of elbow room, the beds were comfortable, and we really appreciated the fully accessible walk-in shower. Since we arrived so late, we asked for a late checkout and the staff accommodated us wonderfully. Kashmeera was very kind and pleasant when we checked out and helped us. The customer service throughout was impeccable. We’ll definitely stay here whenever we visit London, Ontario, Canada again. A+ ♥️🩷♥️🩷 👍🏻🎯
