The Maison had a cosy front porch and back patio, plus shared spaces where we could relax. It was a bit of an adjustment coming from a hotel, with its comforts and privacy, but the hosts' warmth was irreplaceable. They were kind and welcoming, the setup was thoughtful, and the gourmet breakfasts were a tasty way to start the day. The location was ideal, with a grocery store, pharmacy, bus stops, and several places to eat or get a drink within walking distance. Public transit to circuit gilles villeneuve took about 20 minutes for the F1 GP. I'd recommend it for a few days around Montreal if you want a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere outside the city.

Louise and Frédéric made my friend's birthday stay in Montreal unforgettable. I'd asked them to arrange a small surprise, maybe a dessert or a birthday sign, but in the morning they played music, put up decorations, and prepared a birthday breakfast. It was a special moment that went beyond what I'd expected. The house was clean and charming, close to downtown Longueuil, and a 15-minute walk from a ferry straight to Old Montreal. I'd highly recommend Le Refuge du Poète if you're visiting Montreal. It's an experience you can't get anyway else.

Louise and Frédéric are wonderful hosts, and breakfast was superb. We had a great room in a quiet Longueuil neighbourhood, with nice restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. A great base for a Montreal trip, about a 15-minute drive away.
