Motel de l'Outlet

The room was basic, as expected for the price and style, but it was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location is convenient, a short walk from central restaurants and not far from the Route Verte 1 path. It was great to find a room available on a summer Friday night in Magog. We arrived a little early on very dirty bikes, and they kindly provided a hose to clean them and secure overnight storage in reception. They also let us check in early, so we could freshen up before walking to lunch.

The rooms smelled bad, and the staff were awful. I had to leave. Edit: You called the police when I asked for a refund and said I was lying about the cigarette smell. I don’t understand how this nasty place got an 8.4 rating on Expedia, but good job misleading people with positive reviews.

For the price, I’d stay here again, especially with this location. The basics were covered: towels, soap, a coffee machine, cable TV, and wine glasses. The grocery store and main strip are about a 10-minute walk, and Lac Memphrémagog is close too. You pass Mcdonald's 24/7 on the way. Mont Orford Ski Resort is about 15 minutes by car, or 30 minutes to Owl's Head Ski Resort. A solid budget motel, and better than I expected.

The room was tidy and very clean, if a bit small. It was still plenty of space for a night or two. Motel de l'Outlet is also really well placed, about a five-minute walk from downtown Magog and close to the waterfront attractions, restaurants, and shops on the main strip. The staff were friendly and knew the town and its attractions well.
