Black Forest Cabins

Everything was ready for a comfortable stay, and check-in was really easy. The cabin was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely design and decor. You can see the care that went into building it. A great place to stay.

We could easily walk out for dinner, and the sauna was a lovely extra. Inside, the cabin felt cozy and was beautifully decorated, and the beds were super comfortable. Perfect getaway!

The cabin was clean and nicely decorated, close to restaurants, and the trees, boardwalk, and lights looked lovely at night. If we'd stayed in a regular room, I would have rated it higher. We were in accessible cabin 8, though, and ran into several accessibility problems. The shower was the main one. It had a fold-down shower chair, which was good, but from the seat you couldn't reach the tap to turn the shower on. The person who needed the chair was 6ft 4 and could only just reach the tap with their fingertips, so someone shorter couldn't have reached it at all. The water from the shower head also didn't reach the chair, even at full pressure and angled as far as it would go. They had to hold the shower head the whole time. The tap and shower head, or the bench, need to be moved so the shower is actually accessible. There were two smaller fixes too. The step at the front door was a bit high to get over independently in a wheelchair, so a small threshold ramp is needed. Also, the blinds were too high for someone in a wheelchair to pull down on their own. A cord attached to the existing ring pull would make it reachable.

Check-in and checkout were both easy, and the messages about check-in were clear and accurate, with no odd requirements. The website photos matched what we found. The cabins were beautiful and felt private, with the sauna as a nice extra. It was also just a short walk to the town center. We really enjoyed staying at Black Forest Cabins!
