I never got around to leaving a review after my 2016 visit. Now I’m reading a book set in Quebec about the tribes on the reserves, and it mentions the Mashteuiatsh reserve, which brought this inn back to mind. It felt like a museum, with exceptional decor, and the service was top-notch. The owner is a real enthusiast. If you’re nearby, don’t miss it.

I’d seen the other reviews, so I came away a little disappointed. The woman who welcomed us was very kind, though, and the place is impressive and full of history. The bed in the original room was comfortable.
