Fiddler Lake Resort

They kept my $1000 security deposit over one can of coke with a cigarette inside. We left the place tidy, picked everything up, and took out all the garbage. We just forgot that can. They're accusing us of smoking indoors, but nobody did. I've been calling the front desk for over a week, and the woman keeps saying someone from customer service will call me. No one has. Each time I call, I get the same runaround. They're scammers. Don't go to their chalets.

The kids had a blast sledding down the driveway, and the resort pool was warm and clean. We also loved warming up in the lodge, then using the sauna and hot tub on cold days. Great customer service, too. A fantastic place to spend winter.

We appreciated the privacy, since each cabin has its own road, and the kitchen had good cooking pans. The bathrooms were clean, and the washer and dryer were conveniently located, though the big dining table was sticky. We couldn't figure out how to drive to the lake, either. Cabin 23 is nice, but the kitchen island has no overhead light for meal prep, and there's no light over the outdoor grill, so grilling in the dark is difficult. The bed in the bedroom behind the fireplace is unusable: sitting down makes it screech like an eagle, and you can't move without hearing it. We switched to the twin beds, which were fairly comfortable. I understand the master bedroom's bed is comfortable. The dresser placement was odd, with one in a closet and another in front of a closet. We also couldn't get Netflix or Prime working through our own accounts.

The lake was calm and peaceful, and the resort is surrounded by beautiful nature. It seems like a good place for activities in both summer and winter, especially if you're after a quiet getaway not too far from the city. Our chalet at Fiddler Lake Resort was spacious, cozy, and well equipped for time with family or friends. The private hot tub and sauna were highlights. We had a great stay and would recommend it.
