Quality Inn

The staff really made this trip. They even set up a mini-stick area for the kids when older players were using the usual spot, which was thoughtful with so many hockey teams staying there. After seven years of tournament hotel stays, this one has been the best by far. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and I’d recommend it for any kind of visit. I’ll be telling people traveling this way to stay here.

It looked like a promising place, but I’ll book somewhere else next time I’m in Moncton. The hot tub wasn’t working, the pool was freezing, and there was a torn window screen and wallpaper peeling off the walls. Little kids were also running up and down the hallway.

After nearly 25 hours on the road from Chapel Arm, NL toward Southern Ontario, we suddenly needed somewhere to sleep. We’d arranged with the Perth-Andover Motor Inn to arrive early, but at 3 a.m. they told us we couldn’t check in until 7, so sleeping in the car was the only option they offered. That just wasn’t feasible. The staff at this Quality Inn understood straight away and found us a room immediately. The receptionist was warm and friendly, and told us stories about traveling across the country. The room was great too, with a full kitchenette, full-size fridge and freezer, a really comfortable bed, decent shower pressure, and a deep bathtub. The price was affordable, and we were grateful they could help us so quickly. We’d absolutely stay here again on our next trip east.

The rooms were on the small side, but that didn’t bother me. A woman who I think said she was the general manager was looking after the little restaurant, and her food was spot on. She was also great with several hockey teams full of energetic girls and boys. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Moncton.
