We brought our cat, and the pet fee was reasonable. The staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was decent, the facilities were well equipped, and parking was convenient. It’s a good value and a solid option if you’re traveling with a pet. The concern was a small, unsealed opening behind the room safe, possibly for cables. We hadn’t noticed it at check-in. The next morning our cat was missing, and after searching the room we found it had crawled into that opening. We asked staff for help, though the cat came out on its own after we coaxed it with food, before they arrived. It was a minor incident, but a potential hazard in a pet-friendly room that should be fixed as soon as possible.

The elevator was dirty when we used it and still dirty the next day, while the main exit had duct tape around the push bar. Breakfast was weak, and the “gym” seemed like an afterthought. I travel to Moncton often, but this was my first and last stay at this Travelodge. It’s also made me rethink future stays at Wyndham properties. Hotel prices for roadside motel meets Norman Bates energy. I paid $249.07 after taxes and fees for Room 214 on April 18, 2026, a "suite" with two (2) king beds separated by a door. The suite layout made little sense: the only air conditioner was by the window in one room, so we had to leave the connecting door open to make the rest of the suite breathable. The room smelled musty, and there was dust and dirt behind furniture, grime around floors, windows, tub, and shower corners, peeling paint, a loud exhaust fan, and hardly any usable outlets. I had to move a nightstand to plug something in and found what looked like years of dust behind it. The bathroom floor and toilet seat were wet when we arrived, and I spotted a ceiling crack. Next morning, water leaked from the ceiling straight onto me while I was on the toilet. Clean water or not, that’s unacceptable at any hotel, especially at this rate. The stay started badly at check-in. I’d checked in online and requested 2:00 p.m. if possible, then called that morning and was told it shouldn’t be a problem. After a four-hour drive, I arrived at 1:53 p.m. The lobby smelled bad, and the front desk employee was as warm as a parking ticket. She bluntly said check-in wasn’t until 3:00 p.m. I waited in my car and watched several guests with luggage check in before 3:00. Around 2:20, I got in line behind a couple and asked about cancellation when it was my turn. Only then was I told the system refreshes available rooms at 2:00 p.m. It would’ve been good to know that at 1:53, seven minutes before 2:00, instead of being told check-in was impossible until 3:00. Some basic honesty and courtesy would’ve helped.

The complimentary breakfast was good, and service was great. The room itself was nice, but the mattress felt old and firm. Location wasn’t bad, though the road down to the hotel had huge potholes.

If you need somewhere cheap to sleep, this will probably do. It was about 50 dollars less than other hotels nearby, and you could tell from what you got. The location just off the highway was good, and booking and check-in went fine. But the room wasn’t very clean, and the heat didn’t seem to work well. The TV had only about 10 to 15 channels and kept freezing, with no newer touches like USB outlets. Room upkeep lacked attention to detail, including sloppy paint jobs.

The bathtub did eventually get fixed, and the room was somewhere to sleep, but that was about all. The facilities were dated, service was disappointing, and promises weren’t kept. After checkout they said a manager would give us a 15% discount and email the receipt. Weeks and several follow-up calls later, I still had neither. Each time, I was told the manager was “too busy.” My parents were visiting for the first time, so I’d called ahead to make sure everything was set. The receptionist assured me we’d be “very happy,” but on arrival she had a poor attitude and seemed uninterested in talking with us. The lobby and elevator were dingy and extremely outdated, not what I’d expect of a 3-star hotel. The room looked spacious at first, but the tub was completely clogged and wouldn’t drain. My dad tried to fix it himself without success. When we asked for help, the receptionist said nothing could be done until maintenance came the next morning. After a long travel day, my family had to go to bed without showering. We had an early schedule, so the next morning we had no choice but to use the clogged tub again. A 3-star hotel should at least keep basic cleanliness and functionality up and provide decent customer service.
