Auberge Morritt

I won't return to Auberge Morritt and can't recommend it to anyone expecting a safe hotel stay in Mont-Tremblant. The room was in poor shape, with heating that didn't work properly, a loose toilet seat, and very thin walls. The electrical system seemed so outdated that hairdryers were prohibited, though I wasn't told that beforehand. The lights flickered, and even after I asked for help repeatedly, I was left with wet hair several times. Hot water took more than five minutes to come through, which raised hygiene and health concerns for me. Cleanliness and maintenance in general were lacking, and staff communication was inconsistent and unhelpful. Nobody on site made an effort to address the problems I raised while I was there. I only heard about the complimentary room upgrade after I had already left.

The restaurant was fantastic and the view was amazing. Staff were very nice and switched easily between English and French. I booked a room without a lake view, looking over the parking lot, in the older building, and it was supposed to have a TV. There wasn't one. The window AC only worked now and then, and when it did run, it pulled enough power to make the lights flicker.

It's easy to find along the road, with a restaurant downstairs and a lake behind where you can sit and relax. The room was small, clean, and quiet, though there were three bugs on the wall. There's no TV, but there is a bathtub.

Save your money. Something kept banging around in the halls all night, and I couldn't sleep.
