The room cleanliness, upkeep, noise, and service all made it hard to enjoy my visit to Montreal. I spent too much of my time dealing with frustrations instead of relaxing. At Hotel Capsule in Montreal, the room wasn’t as clean as expected, some areas seemed poorly maintained, and the facilities felt dated. The atmosphere wasn’t comfortable, especially for the price. From check-in onward, I felt like an inconvenience rather than a guest. Getting helpful answers when I had questions was difficult, communication was poor, and there seemed to be little concern for guest satisfaction. I expected better accommodation and service for what I paid. This was one of my least enjoyable hotel stays. There are better options in Montreal for cleaner rooms, better service, and more value. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

The staff made everything welcoming and easy, and my girlfriend and I had a great stay at Capsule Hotel on Saint Laurent Boulevard. It was very clean, the showers were spotless, and the atmosphere felt friendly and social. The location is impeccable if you want to be right in the heart of Montreal. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely stay here whenever I’m in Montreal.

The capsules were comfortable, quiet, and roomy enough for one person, with a TV, safe, outlet, and Type C ports. It was clean throughout, and the bathrooms, showers, and small common area felt modern. There are lockers, snacks, coffee, and a microwave too. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The location worked well for me, with restaurants downtown, an ice rink, a Metro stop, and a cafe nearby. A couple of small annoyances: I couldn't always get my card to open my room on the first try, and I wasn't sure whether towels were provided or had to be requested. The hotel is up a hill, though that's a minor thing. A good, affordable option for a short stay if you don't mind a compact space. I'd stay again.

A good deal for a short visit, especially for one to three nights, and the washrooms were quite clean. The staff were generally pleasant, though one person seemed unfriendly after hearing me speak English. Sleeping was the hard part. Noise carried clearly between capsules, which I expected to some extent, but one night I heard what seemed like doors slamming for hours. There is a quiet rule, but people didn't seem to pay much attention to it. The capsule light panel also stays on right in front of your face. Turning off the power unlocks the capsule, which didn't feel safe or comfortable at night. Still, the price and location make it workable for a brief stay.

The pod itself was a fun, private setup, better than other pod hostels I've tried. The star lights and lighting looked cool, even if it was very dark inside and outside the capsule. I hadn't expected a TV, though its remote had no batteries. The climb up from the station wasn't as bad as some reviews suggest, and the staff were great. This doesn't feel like a backpacker hostel, though, so I wouldn't come expecting to meet travelers. Getting from Saint Laurent station to the Capsule Hotel felt sketchy, and the surrounding part of Montreal put me off exploring the street. The entrance is very cramped, and there wasn't much of a social atmosphere. Some guests didn't seem to be travelers; a few older people who looked sketchy were arguing with others, so I stayed in my bed because it didn't feel like a good environment. Maybe I caught an unlucky moment. The place has potential if the area improves, and it could suit someone after cheap, private sleep. I probably wouldn't return because of the vibe inside and outside the hotel.
