Super 8 by Wyndham Montreal

At $140 a night, I was disappointed. Room 239 looked decent at first, but the carpet was very dirty and needed vacuuming. Breakfast was included, which sounded nice, but it was cold and felt like the bare minimum. There was hardly any bread to choose from, the boiled eggs were fine, and the coffee was terrible. The shower kept swinging between very hot and very cold.

I barely slept in room 226, just above the office. The walls were thin enough that I could hear everything there, and the room itself was small, with no closet, dresser, or iron, and only one little trash can in the bathroom. There were two doors, one that could be pushed open from outside; the inside door had gaps at the top and on its right side. The person who checked me in said he was upgrading my room, but I ended up with bed bugs. My arms and legs are covered in bites, and I developed a bacterial infection as a result. The photos are from Monday, after my stay Tuesday night. Medical costs will be more than what I paid for the night. I'll see whether they'll refund me and cover those costs. The hotel photos make the place look much better than it is. Find somewhere else, or be ready to be miserable for two weeks and pay more than you bargained for. Facts!

Terrible place. I woke around 4:30 a.m. with lots of bites and realized there were bed bugs. When I checked out and asked for a refund, they refused and were no help at all. The owner doesn't seem to care that the accommodation is unsafe. $160 isn't cheap for a crummy, infested motel. Come on...

There were bugs everywhere in the room and bathroom, lots of little flies like fruit flies. I checked for bed bugs and didn't find any, but I spotted something in the bed that might have been a booklouse, tick, or something else, and threw it outside. The shower had grime, or maybe mold, and definitely hadn't been cleaned properly. It was hard to find the place, and the language barrier made check-in difficult, let alone discussing these problems. I ended up napping in a chair for a few hours and left early for the airport.
