Motel Pierre

It took an hour to get our rooms, even though it was 1 in the morning. The receptionist made a simple process way too complicated. The first room clearly hadn't been cleaned: the beds were made, but the bathroom was filthy. Getting moved to another room took a while too.

I came all the way from Toronto and was disappointed. The service was poor, and the washroom was filthy, especially the toilet. This place is garbage. I'd give it zero stars if that were an option. Think twice before coming here, and don't spoil your trip.

I expected the worst after reading the reviews, but our room turned out clean, and its bathroom had been newly redone with a toilet, sink, bathtub, and tiles that all looked new. I can't speak for the other units, but ours was okay. For $80 each, it wasn't bad, and I can't complain much at that price. The smell was off-putting, which could be a problem for anyone with a sensitive nose. The place also had a creepy feel. Those were my only two concerns.

The motel looks rundown and isn't especially welcoming, but I thought it was fair for the price. I was nervous about bed bugs after reading reviews, though I didn't see any during my stay. The problems people mention seem to be in the long-term rental rooms. A two-double-bed room without a kitchenette is more likely to be better maintained and avoid the bugs.
