I chose this hotel for its location, which is within walking distance of Old Town, and it was great for that. The room was fair for what I paid, and I stayed one night in Oct 2025 with no real complaints. It wasn’t a 5* experience, but I didn’t pay a 5* rate either, so I’m sharing this to give visitors a sense of what to expect. The lobby was nice and clean, and reception staff were friendly, though nobody offered to take my bags up. The rooms were nice, but the bathrooms felt a bit dated. There weren’t many extras included, like breakfast, and the in-room coffee was blah. The daily parking fee seemed high to me, though it was similar to downtown hotel parking elsewhere.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel or come back. For a room costing over $200, having to pay extra for nearly everything made the stay inconvenient and disappointing. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste, and we were told to buy those from the shop downstairs. Slippers weren’t available either. Parking had appeared to be included when I booked, but I was charged an extra $40. EV charging also costs separately. Spa services were advertised, but there weren’t any in reality.

The guest laundry was especially handy, and after a long day it was nice to unwind in the well-maintained pool and Jacuzzi. My room at Courtyard by Marriott – Downtown Montreal was spacious, clean, and really comfortable, so the stay felt relaxing. A very nice experience overall, with good amenities and a comfortable atmosphere. I’d recommend it and would happily stay again.

A useful pickup tip: ask to meet at the parking lot entrance where Rue Anderson meets Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest. There’s a roundabout there and taxis are usually nearby, so it’s easier than using the main entrance. The front desk staff were the best part, consistently warm, professional, and efficient, which made check-in and other interactions pleasant. The hotel’s three-star rating seems fair, though two and a half stars might fit the overall experience better. We asked for two pairs of slippers and were told they don’t provide them. We’d forgotten shaving cream and weren’t expecting luxury products, but basic toiletries seem standard for a three-star place. Instead, we were sent to buy it at the small convenience shop in the lobby.

Beautiful gym and pool, and the hotel was incredibly clean. It’s ideally placed for the best activities and the service was truly great. Loved my stay, highly recommend.
