Quality Inn Centre-Ville

The front desk was helpful and efficient, and coffee, tea, and similar drinks are available free in the lobby around the clock. My room was clean, with a decent bed and useful basics like a desk, TV, mini fridge, safe, and clothes hangers. Shops including IGA, Jean Coutu, Pharmaprix, Starbucks, and Place Dupuis are close by, as is Berri UQAM metro. St. Denis is about a five-minute walk away. There was unexpected work on the bathroom plumbing after the first night, but the front desk promptly sorted it out with a room upgrade. The rooms and prices seem inconsistent, though. Some have a bad exhaust-fume smell, windows facing alley garbage bins, or missing features like a wardrobe or hanging space. I stayed several days in February 2026.

The location was great, with the train station only four or five minutes away and famous spots like Old Montreal and Notre Dame about a 20-30 minute walk. The room was okay, though I found two big ants, and the floor squeaked in a way that felt creepy. I put my luggage over that patch so I wouldn’t step on it. I stayed five nights, and breakfast was exactly the same every day. It would be nice if they switched it up at least every other day. One of the front desk women was really rude when I checked in. I think her name was Thayana, but I’m not sure; maybe she was having a bad day, but I wish she hadn’t spread that negativity to guests like me. The other front desk staff were really nice and friendly. The stay was okay overall, and maybe I’d come back.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great too. I had a great stay and will definitely return.

My visit was only three hours because my plane was delayed and my bus left early, but I came away with a good impression. The beds were great, the room clean, and the staff helpful. It’s just a five-minute walk to the bus depot.
