Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Midtown

I went to a wedding here and was impressed by the food and service, which matched or even beat downtown hotels with higher ratings. Parking was easy, and the decor looked modern and attractive. A few things could use work, though. The terrace outside was too hot because too many infrared heaters were on. The hallway chairs were painfully uncomfortable, with narrow seats and cold metal backs that gave women in backless dresses quite a shock. The bar setup was poor too: there was one large cocktail bar instead of separate ones, and the hall bar sat right in front of the dance floor, adding traffic to an already crowded space. These seem like fixable issues and the processes need more thought. Even so, it’s a great venue and I’d recommend it.

The manager Shaira went out of her way to help me get my phone back after I lost it in Montreal. She drove me to where it was and helped me retrieve it, making me feel at ease throughout. I’ve never had staff go this far for me, and she deserves recognition from the Hilton Hotel Organization for her kindness, generosity, and hospitality. The restaurant staff were lovely too, and reception and the rest of the team were all kind. The rooms were deeply cleaned. I accidentally booked the Hilton Midtown instead of the Hilton Downtown, and I’m so glad I did. The stay exceeded my expectations. Huge thanks to Shaira and the team.

I’ve stayed several times in recent years, and it’s always a treat. The facilities are clean and well appointed, and the staff are helpful and very friendly. The one minor issue is noise in rooms on the Décarie side. Some people may find it soothing like the ocean, but I’m sensitive to city noise, so I book double queen rooms that don’t face the road. This is a great hotel in a part of Montreal with few quality places to stay.

The pool and fitness center were nice additions, and the location made it easy to get around Montreal. The hotel was spotless, modern, and comfortable, with friendly, attentive staff. A wonderful stay, highly recommend.
