It’s a simple, basic place, but clean throughout, including the room. The hosts were exceptional. The rooms are small and there’s no TV or coffee maker. The neighborhood isn’t the most desirable, though metro and grocery stores are just a short walk away, and Old Montreal is about 15 minutes on foot. If a clean, basic little hotel is what you’re after, this fits.

The shower was a little tight, but the water pressure was good and it got very hot. The place was clean and the bed comfortable. I had a full room, which did the job for race weekend. A little TLC and paint wouldn’t hurt, but that’s why I gave it five stars.

For the price and quality, this was the best room in town. Having a full kitchen and lots of beds made it perfect for our family.

It’s a budget-friendly place, and I’d definitely stay again. We were welcomed warmly and the hosts were kind. They speak both French and English, which is great if you only speak English and are spending a few nights in Montreal. The building is cozy and in a really convenient area. We could walk around the city, including to whatever restaurant, bar, or shop we needed.

The owner was kind and quick to respond, and our renovated room was clean. We had a lovely long weekend, despite the other reviews we’d seen. Getting to and from the airport and around the city was super convenient. We had a great stay and plan to come back on our next visit.
