The place is beautiful, cozy and very clean. We visited Montreal for the first time in February, one of the coldest months, and the hotel was warm. The sheets and towels were soft and clean, and the body products were good quality and replenished. Customer service was quick and helpful too. We texted back and forth, usually getting a response within five minutes. The building is historic and sits near a main road in a tourist area, so the noise some people mention is real. In my opinion it was tolerable, since I’m used to noisy cities like Toronto, CDMX and NYC. The hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs, and the facilities, amenities and hospitality made up for the outside noise. 10/10 🙌🏼

We loved the beautiful rooms, well-stocked kitchen and central location, and had a lovely time at the spa. The pullout couch wasn’t especially comfortable, but there were extra amenities in the shared kitchen or available on request with a quick text. We didn’t make it to bar bisou bisou across the street, which offers 15% off cocktails. A great place for a girls’ weekend, and we’d recommend staying here.

The room was spacious, with a comfortable queen bed, though not a king. There were lots of thoughtful extras: towels, popcorn, tea and coffee, milk and cream, lovely robes and slippers, plus a Bluetooth speaker for playing music from your phone. Fresh croissants were in the lobby each morning. The laundry room was available daily after 3pm, with fast, high-tech machines and detergent and dryer sheets supplied. There was also a hallway cupboard with spare toothbrushes, toilet roll and popcorn. The cleaning staff were lovely and ready to help, including when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Check-in access and checkout were easy. The Old Montreal location is excellent, close enough to walk to restaurants, cafes, bars, interesting shops, the waterfront and downtown. There’s no elevator, which is typical for the old town. The main reason for four stars on the room was the noise: garbage was collected right outside our window at 5:30am one morning, very loudly. If you’re not an early riser, ask for a room away from the street. The shower was scalding hot on the first day, and we couldn’t figure out how to adjust it, so instructions in the room would help. We loved our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it or come back.

Maison Saint-Vincent is a stylish, modern hotel with more space than we expected, right in the heart of the Old Port. There’s no front desk or staff hovering around, but the hotel communicates well by text to check in and make sure things are going smoothly. We got the building door code and room code the day before arrival, and the system worked flawlessly. We did have one problem with the shower, which only gave very hot water. The hotel responded quickly the next day, sending a repair person and manager to fix it, which we appreciated. Each morning they also provided a delicious croissant. Coffee or tea from the mini kitchen in the room made for an easy, satisfying breakfast. We didn’t have trouble with garbage or service truck noise, especially from our room facing Rue Saint-Vincent. I can’t speak to the restaurant-facing windows. There’s no elevator, so you’ll carry bags up one or two flights, though the hotel can help if needed. For anyone checking out but staying in the city longer, luggage storage is on the 3rd floor near the washer machines. The Old Port is beautiful and worth seeing, but it’s very tourist-heavy, which made getting an Uber more of a hassle. If we came back, we’d probably choose another neighborhood. Still, for anyone who wants to stay right in the Old Port, I’d absolutely recommend Maison Saint-Vincent as a comfortable, stylish base.

They even thought of the small things, with plenty of spare coffee, tea and toilet paper, plus a surprisingly good coffee table book. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the location was excellent.
