I’ve been going to the Montreal Convention Center for years, for Comic Con MTL in summer and Holiday Mini Comic Con MTL and the Montreal Auto Show in winter. It’s connected to the metro station and very close to the old port. There are plenty of places to grab lunch, including Burger King, Tim Hortons, Subway and others. I recommend it to anyone visiting Montreal in summer or winter for conventions and lots of other activities.

The conference rooms were enormous, some the size of football fields, and they were all set up with translation technology. We went up several levels by escalator after registering on the second floor. The main floor was immaculate, open, and full of restaurants and coffee shops, all inside a huge, beautiful building. At dinner there were all kinds of tables and food, plus jugglers, unicycle riders, baton twirlers, and other acts. Steven Page from the Barenaked Ladies gave an inspiring lunchtime talk and played a few songs, just like Brian Wilson had. We were in Montreal last week for the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness (CAEH) conference at Palais des congrès de Montréal, 1001 Pl., Jean-Paul-Riopelle. What a smooth, well-equipped venue for a big corporate event.

A great car show this year. There were a few new concept vehicles, and it'll be interesting to see whether any make it into production.

Plenty of room for lots of things to happen at once. Security is really professional, and this is a top notch venue.

My first Otakuton this year, and I had a really nice time. There was lots to see, from cosplay and gaming events to things in the exhibition hall. They also had activities like table games, craft workshops, and anime rooms.
