Pierce Boutique Apartments

The rooms warmed up quickly even in mid-November, and I loved staying in my apartment. It was spotless, with immaculate sheets and a relaxing, well-lit space under the fridge. The washer and dryer were ready to use, and it was a bonus that the fridge was clean and odour-free. I'd definitely book here again if I'm in the area!

The team at Pierce hotel was responsive and willing to help when I hit a bit of bad luck on checkout day. The place itself is large and clean, in a great location, and incredibly accommodating. Thanks so much, I'll be back!

The apartment itself was well appointed and basically a modern one-bedroom. Having a washer and dryer was nice, though you'll need to buy your own detergent. I found the neighborhood very busy, with lots of students and cheaper places to eat. It was close to the Metro, but I'd rather stay in one of the less grungy Montreal neighborhoods I came across. It's a pretty solid place, just not one I'd rent again. The listing said parking was "available," which I understood to mean on site. It doesn't. You have to find a spot in a nearby neighborhood lot and pay for it. The biggest disappointment was that this calls itself a hotel, but it's really an apartment building. There's no front desk, concierge, or person to ask for help. To get to the room, you enter a 5-digit code three separate times, at the entry, vestibule, and elevator, then a 9-digit code for the room. Doing that every time was a drag.

The room is very nice, but I was left standing outside for over 15 minutes during the virtual check-in, since there's no front desk. I couldn't find the verification page to pay the security deposit and asked the gentleman helping me to explain exactly what I needed to do without giving me too much information. He replied, "I already told you what to do. I can choose whatever I want to say. You don't need to teach me." I felt really offended. I'd never encountered that kind of attitude before.
