Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the twice-daily turn-down service, both morning and evening. Valet parking is private for hotel guests and restaurant visitors, with a clearance limit of 1.83m. Frédérique made check-in quick and easy. We liked our room and our stay at the Sofitel Golden Mile, but the hidden fees at checkout were disappointing. Without those charges, we definitely would have stayed again.

My family and I had a good stay for one night, and breakfast was especially nice. The one issue came while I was sleeping: even with the heat set above 24 degrees, I felt a little cold. In the morning I realized the long curtain was covering the heater and trapping the warm air between the window and curtain. Once I opened the curtain, I could feel the heat. Everything else was good.

The croissants at breakfast were incredible, easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Liam and Marcus served us there and also tended the bar, and their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made us feel like VIPs. Whether we were having a pastry to start the day or a well-made drink in the evening, they were wonderful. Their hospitality reflects so well on the Sofitel team. We can’t wait to come back to the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile.

The valet team really made our trip. We felt looked after every time, and Michael, I think that was his name, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Thanks for the great hospitality. Breakfast was included with the room and was just the right amount to fill us up. Without his kindness, the trip wouldn’t have been as splendid.

The team helped me with a medical issue, and I’ll be forever grateful. Their kindness felt sincere and personal throughout my stay, from the friendly front desk greeting to the concierge’s thoughtful recommendations and attentive service at Renoir restaurant. Everyone was consistently warm and helpful, and they made Montreal feel like home. Merci.
