Hôtel Ste-Catherine

It was a cheap, no-frills hotel, and things were fine until checkout, when they mistook my $40 deposit for $20. They corrected it, and I was clearly upset because I wanted the money I was owed back. Once it was resolved, I stood quietly waiting for my refund so I could leave. The front desk woman kept talking, then asked why I was mad and why my face looked angry even though the issue had been fixed. Her service and attitude were horrible. If you work in or own a business, learn how to treat people.

A cozy little place with clean rooms and all the basics. The managers were very friendly, and they were especially hospitable while serving the complimentary breakfast in the morning.

Breakfast was just Costco croissants and muffins with coffee. The room was tiny, the bathroom dirty, and there was no hair dryer. There was no service.

Good value for the money, with comfortable beds and perfectly fine rooms despite the building looking a bit old. The front desk is staffed 24 hours. The neighborhood gets noisy on weekends since it's a big party area, but it didn't bother me, and the Wi-Fi was good. The Google listing says there's coin-op laundry, but instead you leave your clothes and the owner returns them. I tried to use it, but they had too much other laundry to take mine. Not a big deal, but worth knowing. Great value overall, and I'd stay again.
