For corporate travelers in Montreal, La Tour du Canadien 1 is a nice condo rental just steps from Bell Center, a way to live more like a local than in a hotel room. Amenities include a gym, pool, and sauna. AirBnB guests have to follow the building rules, including the one-month minimum stay. Nice spot for a short or extended stay.

The building is exceptionally clean and very well maintained, and Christine is attentive and handles requests with care. The main doorman is consistently helpful. I’ve had a very different experience with the nighttime doorman, who seems to have personal issues and often makes visitors feel unwelcome. Even after my mother tried to introduce me and encourage him to be hospitable, he still gives me a hard time when I ask to be let in. That behavior needs to be addressed.

Downtown Montreal is hard to beat. You can head downstairs to Starbucks, choose from lots of restaurants, and there’s a grocery store right across the way. The pool and terrace are the best. If you can find a rental here, don’t hesitate. It’s a great place to stay instead of traveling.

Great place to live, though it’s very high end and $$ . There’s a cool rooftop terrace on the 10th floor, and the overall vibe is great, with lots of Americans staying during the summer. It feels very safe, with staff at every entry point, and all the major attractions are within walking distance.
