The golf was amazing, but it couldn’t make up for the rest of the stay. Breakfast was cold on our first morning, and when we returned on day four, my pancakes were hot while my travel companion’s food was ice cold. Both mornings, we were the only diners, yet I had to refill my own coffee because the servers didn’t seem very concerned about service. I also asked reception about the hot tub. They said it was working and that the doors had been unlocked, but it never opened during my August 22-26 stay. For the price, the experience was just okay. I left disappointed with Crowbush and wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Dundarave would be a better choice if you want a more central location.

Dinner was a mess. It took 15 minutes to get a menu despite three people coming to our table, the bread arrived with the mains, and our toddler’s meal came after everything else. When we asked about a kids menu, the staff didn’t know and had to go check. The $45 steak was mostly fat and cartilage with very little meat, and the salmon had no taste. Our room was dirty, with bread crumbs in the bed and dead bugs on the floor. When we asked to move, the front desk clerk didn’t apologize and put us in a room next door that was half the size, with a tiny bathroom. The heat didn’t work, so we were cold all night, and the TV was broken too. At checkout, we mentioned those problems and got no apology, just “ok I’ll let them know”. There were cigarette butts wedged between the deck boards outside our door, which wasn’t great with a toddler. We paid close to $500 for one night, with the room costing over $300. Maybe that price could have made sense if the stay had been better. This was meant to be a little family getaway, but it left us feeling awful. They call this a 5 star place, yet we’ve had better cleanliness and service at 2 star motels. We wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The staff were really friendly and attentive, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Our suite had just the right amount of space for our family of four, and the food at the hotel was good. We loved the oceanfront setting, especially the big beach and gorgeous sunsets. There’s golf, tennis, and a pool for days when you’re not out exploring the island. It was our first visit to PEI, and staying here was a great start to our summer vacation. We’d recommend the resort for accommodations. The main hotel has large one bedroom suites, and they also have private cottages. We’d like to try one of those next time.

We lost our wallet during this year’s visit, and the staff worked so hard to help us find it. They did, and their kindness and determination really impressed us. That kind of service is rare and is one reason we return. This is our third year in a row driving from Southern Ontario to Crowbush Golf Resort. We love the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning golf course, and the long drive has always been worth it. Meals at David’s Restaurant are another highlight, delicious and beautifully prepared every time. Crowbush feels like home whenever we come back. It’s a gem on PEI, with wonderful staff, great service, and fantastic food. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

We booked at the last minute and had our dog with us, so we ended up in what seemed like the least desirable room. It was on the first floor facing the lawn and parking lot, with an old, discolored sofa bed and a bathroom that could use updating. The mosquitoes were so aggressive that sitting outside to watch the stars wasn’t really an option. Still, the property itself is beautiful and peaceful. I loved the morning walk across the golf course to the private beach. I can understand why people like the cottages with sea views or a third floor room facing the water.
