Those long sandy mornings by the beach, running along beside it, were a highlight. The place was clean, cozy, and well stocked, just the kind of restful stay we needed to recharge. It’ll stay in our hearts.

We didn’t find much to do nearby beyond the beaches, so without good weather you’re mostly left driving around. Lumsden beach, about 20 min away, was lovely, though crowded when we visited. The beach across the road was the easy favorite: about a 2 min walk over the grass, or locals drive onto the sand if they have 4 wheel drive. The house itself was beautiful, extremely clean, and in a great spot. On hot days it got up to 27 degrees inside; there’s no AC, and the older windows only open about 6 inches. The supplied Webber portable bbq also felt too small for a family. A full size one or a Napoleon Travel BBQ would work better.

The gorgeous beach is right across the street, and the home has all the amenities. A lovely place.
