It looks beautiful outside, but be ready for very hot rooms if you don't want air conditioning. Some rooms have a fan and some don't, so make sure you get one with a fan. Two of our rooms had toilets that wouldn't flush, and I hope that's been fixed. When it's too hot, you're expected to open the window, which feels unsafe. There are no bathroom fans, and homeless people sleep by the smoking area at night. Be safe.

The check-in was smooth, and the staff were warm and friendly. I had a wonderful stay in a comfortable room, with excellent value for money. A very pleasant experience, and I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others!

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and the hotel was close to Departure Bay ferry for our sailing the next day. Some of the old furniture in the rooms should be replaced, and the fountain needs fixing. Still, I’d stay here again if I come back to nanaimo.

The staff were very nice, but that's where the good ended for me. We booked because we had a feline with us and some motels discriminate against pets. The toilet seat was practically falling off, the beds didn't even have fitted sheets, and the two towels for showers were just thrown on a table. They charged another $15 to my card on the day we left without authorization. For a $230 suite, it was pretty pathetic. They offer instant coffee and use a coffee maker to heat the water. I also asked for an extra large space that was very, very hard to get into. The worst place I've ever stayed. The room was so bad it made me worry about scabies.

I like a sink that doesn't drain and towels that look like they’ve already been used as toilet paper, so this place really delivered. We also checked in to what looked like sheets with a stain left by someone murdered in their sleep. Great place to stay if you want to worry about being murdered.
