Fox Motor Inn

On our drive from Toronto to Quebec City, we stayed here and found the staff very attentive. I left something behind in the room, and they called me and arranged for me to pick it up. The hotel is close to Highway 401 in Napanee, with good breakfast options and a historic waterfall nearby. Our recently renovated room was comfortable, and all the amenities worked perfectly.

Sue and Kerry James and his family made us feel so welcome. The large rooms are thoroughly up to date, and those extra-large new tubs were a highlight. The property is kept pristine, with friendly, personal service that adds real value. I’ve traveled a lot around Canada for work, and this place ranks with the best hotel chains. A genuinely lovely stay. Thanks, James and family!

The only drawback was having to drive to dinner, since downtown is about 1 km down the road. Otherwise, this is an easy place to recommend. I stayed for a night with my kids last week and was impressed by how much care the proprietors put into the motor inn. The grounds were tidy and decorated even in the shoulder season, and the rooms had been freshly updated. The owners were kind and helpful at the counter, even with my curious children. Thanks again!

I felt like I was registering at a friend’s place when I walked into the office. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. When I called to reserve, they simply said, “see you when you get here,” without asking for a credit card number. They even offered to keep our bicycles in their garage so we wouldn’t have to leave them on the car rack. For what it is, this is a real step up from a basic motel. The large rooms were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the furnishings good quality. There’s easy parking near the door, plus a large walk-in shower and heated tile floor.
