Hotel La Maison Blanche

We had a gorgeous view over the bay from our window, and the prices were decent. The room was clean and airy, with a lovely shower and strong water pressure. The mini fridge worked fine, and the wifi was very good, though our room was near the main entrance. We came in October, late in the season, so heat wasn't an issue. Lots of parking. Would recommend.

The view of the fleuve was nice, and the internet was great. A pleasant surprise and perfectly fine accommodation. The light switches, outlets, and TV remote were just a little tricky to figure out.

Brandi was really friendly and accommodating, which made a big difference. We arrived by sled near the end of the season and were the only guests. The place isn't close to the trails, so there's a lot of road riding to get there, though we found a shortcut for getting out. The rooms could use some updating, but they did the job. The restaurant menu only had four items, but that helped since we couldn't get elsewhere for food. Without Brandi being so nice, I'd probably rate it three stars or less.

The location is beautiful, but the service and breakfast need work. We booked for three people and had towels for only two. I'd also added the $5.00-per-person continental breakfast online, but when we arrived they couldn't find it. The girl and her boss spent too long trying to sort out computer problems, even when I offered to pay separately. They weren't very friendly or welcoming. We got two card keys, but one never worked, even after I brought it back twice, so I gave up. Breakfast was poor for the price: the cheese was "plastic cheese," and the boiled egg was already peeled and cold. I could go on. I spoke to them in French, so language wasn't the problem. They need to improve their customer service.
