The pillows made it impossible for me to sleep well. They were huge and tilted my head up, so my husband ended up using a towel instead. The blackout curtains were odd too, with a non-blackout strip down the middle, apparently for looks. The room needs an update. A bad night's sleep really affected the next day. The location is excellent: about 15 minutes on foot to Clifton Hill, 5-10 minutes to the horseshoe, and you can see the smaller falls right from the property. Entertainment and good dinner choices are up the street. Noise wasn't a problem, and staff were kind and efficient. Breakfast was plentiful and good, just short on fruit. We chose a more expensive upper room with a falls view, which I'd recommend for a hotel experience. There also seem to be cheaper motel-style rooms.

You can watch the fireworks from the hotel, and the complimentary breakfast was incredible. Huge thanks to Bridget, who ran breakfast. Everything tasted great, and she kept the food and juice stocked and made sure everyone had what they needed. You can tell she really cares about the work. Thanks for such an amazing breakfast experience, Bridget, 1000/10.

We spent three days and two nights here as a family. The room was spacious and had no carpet, which I liked, although the place felt a little dated. The warm pool water was perfect for the kids. Breakfast is included, and the woman working there seemed very particular about keeping things clean. With so many tourists, she didn't seem to get many tips. Leaving $1 or $2 per person after breakfast would be a nice, polite gesture. I imagine she'd be even friendlier if you did.

The location is great, just a few minutes' walk from the falls, and free on-site parking was a big bonus. We had a falls-view room, though the view was a little underwhelming, as I've found with most falls-view rooms at local hotels. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms were nice. Breakfast runs until 11, so you can sleep in and still eat, which isn't common. For the price, you couldn't ask for better. We'd rather save money on a place to sleep and make our travels go further than spend on five-star hotels. This hotel suited us perfectly: budget friendly and adequate in every way. It's not a five-star place, and doesn't pretend to be.

The location is excellent, and given the aging rooms, I can understand the price being competitive. But the room smelled musty and moldy, something that proper ventilation or an air purifier could easily have addressed. That felt like a lack of effort, or maybe the owner simply doesn't care. Basic things weren't prepared in the room, and when I made reasonable requests, staff reacted as if I was being difficult. Everything besides the location ranks among the two worst places I've ever stayed.
