Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton International Airport

A good stay overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and there’s a pool and hot tub. There isn’t a lounge for Platinum members. Breakfast wasn’t a great selection: eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, and bread that was pre-toasted, halved, and cold. Coffee was available, but only little creamer packets.

The room was comfortable, the price was very reasonable, and the staff were welcoming. I stayed overnight between flights, and the reliable shuttle made both my late arrival and early departure easy. The staff’s warmth really stayed with me. After a long travel day, it felt like coming home, and I appreciated the care and comfort. I’d gladly return next time I’m connecting through Edmonton International Airport. Update: Thanks for the kind response.

The front desk team member was friendly and made me feel valued, so management seems to be doing well in that part of the business. The hotel is fine for a one-night stay before a flight, but I’ll go back to my usual choice next time. I’ve stayed at many FP properties, and this one ranks toward the bottom for me. It wasn’t as clean as most, and the attention to detail seemed lacking. I didn’t use the shuttle, but I was concerned by how the driver handled the parking lot. While I was walking to my car across a small, crowded lot, he was moving quickly. I reacted in time, but if I’d been distracted and kept walking, I’m certain he would have hit me. He looked genuinely surprised when he saw me and braked hard. I motioned for him to continue, and he waved with a sheepish, apologetic look. I hope he changes how he drives in parking lots. It could easily have been a child who didn’t notice him as quickly.

The price is good for what you get, and we’ve stayed here a few times for different events in Edmonton. We’ve always been welcomed, whatever the time or staff member. The rooms and beds are comfortable and clean, with a fridge, microwave, and toiletries. Parking is free. The pool and hot tub are clean and great, and the gym looks good. I’d like to try it next time. There’s an airport shuttle, though we haven’t needed it. There’s a train line nearby, so it can get noisy. Earplugs might help if that would bother you. The views aren’t great, but that’s not why you’d choose this place. It’s close to stores and restaurants, including the outlet mall, with a petrol station next door. The heating is noisy, which could be an issue in winter, and there aren’t many vehicle plug-ins. I almost don’t want to share this review because I don’t want it getting too booked up. 😉 We’ll keep coming back.
