Park Inn by Radisson Edmonton Airport

The room hadn’t been vacuumed properly. There was dust, pet fur and toenail clippings gathered near the bed base. At 4 a.m., just before I left, I found the body wash dispenser empty. There was tea and coffee in the room but no coffee maker, even though one is listed as an amenity. I texted the front desk, and they apologized and said they’d bring one shortly. An hour later, I told them not to bother. I waited nearly ten minutes at the desk when I arrived from Edmonton airport. There was no one there, no sign and no bell, so I called the hotel and waited another five minutes for someone to come out. I know this is a budget hotel and don’t expect perfection, but this stay was unacceptable by any standard. I’m loyal to the Choice brand, but I cancelled my booking for next week when I return to Edmonton airport.

The hotel’s close to Edmonton airport, but we couldn’t hear the planes overhead, which was great. It’s a lovely modern place, and I was pleasantly surprised by the price. I’m picky about where I stay, and I’d definitely come back. The staff were among the best I’ve experienced, and the breakfast buffet was good quality.

I stayed one night because my flight was cancelled. The airline was paying, so I needed to get reimbursed through the airport, but the hotel wouldn’t accept my airport voucher and then refused to give me a receipt. I’ve called several times about it and they hang up on me. Then the manager told me not to call again. They’ve offered no help, and I feel like they’ve taken my money. I think this hotel is a scam. Terrible service and a shady place. I’d rather sleep at the airport or on the street while waiting for a flight.

After waiting almost 40 minutes for the airport shuttle, we arrived and checked in. We were stuck in Edmonton because of a flight delay in February, and the experience was awful. Kaval had been rude and unprofessional over the phone. I told her I’d complain to her supervisor the next day, and suddenly she became polite. The whole thing felt bizarre and was a real disappointment when we were stranded and just trying to check in for the night. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
