Tropical Inn

There’s no breakfast, and kids were screaming 24/7. I’m here with a work crew, and they put us in an inside room at the back of the hotel, a mile down the hallway and attached to the pool, which is open until 10 pm. This place is an absolute joke, a zero-star hotel. If you can afford it, stay somewhere else. Tear it down.

The rooms were clean and big, and the stay wasn’t the worst, but I wasn’t fully happy either. We were here for a roofing job. The website says breakfast is complimentary, but when I asked about it, I was told they don’t have that and to go to Travelodge or another hotel. Then the person just walked away. There were random people hanging around the exit door and in the parking lot. The location is also by a trail that blocks the road twice a day for 20 minutes.

I just left the tropical inn this morning. There was a bug in the bathtub, but I still asked to stay another night and move to a different room. The woman at the front desk was rude and told me to come back at 3:30 to see if they could do that, so I went elsewhere. My husband had kept the car running most of the night because of the cold. He said a man in a red jacket kept coming over and standing beside the car for no reason. When I went outside, I saw him in the lobby talking to himself. I asked for a manager, but was told they weren’t in. The older lady with short black curly hair and glasses who looked after me on my previous stay was nice and treated me well. I don’t usually post reviews, but I didn’t like how I was treated this time.

Some rooms have bugs, and some don’t have windows. This place is the hottest hotel in Saskatchewan, it was 5000 degrees. Room service did switch our rooms to a better one, but it still sucks. I don’t recommend it.
