SureStay Hotel by Best Western North Vancouver Capilano

The prices are the best in the area, really the only affordable option. We woke up comfortable, and the room was clean, though the rooms are a bit old and have some smell, probably from the old carpet and appliances. The front desk staff member who checked us in was wonderful, kind, and reassuring. There were a few small mechanical issues. For example, the window light in room 236 kept flickering, so we just turned it off.

The front desk staff were lovely during our four-night stay. The room was okay, though a bit stuffy. We were definitely in the Wong of the hotel where smoking used to be allowed. There aren't many hotels in the area, and this place deserves a refresh. Since we were staying longer, we had to opt in to housekeeping?

It's an economical choice for people watching their budget, with good rooms that are well maintained. Daily cleaning requires asking the front desk, though. More electrical outlets would be useful now that so much of daily life depends on our devices. The location is probably the best for getting to downtown Vancouver, the North Shore, Whistler, Squamish, and Horseshoe Bay. I'll definitely stay again.

For the price, it was fair, and I'd recommend it to people like me who travel alone and don't have much money. The front desk was very friendly and the service was great. It's a fairly good, quiet place to rest, with a bus station nearby. It feels more like a motel, though, and there's not much in the way of daily necessities. I hated that there were no bathroom doors, and there were no plugs for the showering sink, so I couldn't take a bath.
