Dreamland II Bed and Breakfast

The location was great, and an elderly couple made us feel welcome. I stayed for one night and felt at home. The place was neat and tidy, and breakfast was included. They even asked what we preferred and made food to suit. I'd surely recommend staying here.

Like Betty, we had the same experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who needs a washroom or shower, or to seniors. We found that the sheets hadn't been changed after previous guests checked out. We also left with bedbugs, and I had to spend a lot of money hiring someone to get rid of them at home. The owner refused to refund us.

There's no air conditioning, and the air in the room felt trapped at night, so I couldn't sleep. The shared bathroom setup was stressful too. There was just one shower for us and two other couples, and another tiny fridge downstairs for all the guests. There are no fridges in the rooms. If you're upstairs, getting to the shared bathroom means taking long, narrow spiral stairs. I didn't feel welcome or comfortable here. The owner watches you whenever you leave your room and came across as bossy and pushy. There was no privacy, and I didn't feel at peace like I have at other hotels, motels, or inns. This B&B is seriously overpriced. For comfort and privacy, I don't think it's worth $60 a night, let alone $250. I won't return.

The owners were friendly, and the place was clean, with parking, a nice view, and fresh fruit at breakfast. But the setup didn't feel like a traditional B&B. There are no ensuite bathrooms, just two shared ones down a circular staircase, serving guests in three rooms. Neither is handy at night, and only one has a shower, awkwardly placed by the main entrance across from the kitchen. There's no A/C. Guests can use the living room and deck, but the owners use that space too, including to watch TV. The room cupboards were full of personal belongings. Breakfast was disappointing: the omelette was thin and still undercooked. The so-called beach front is stone with a sharp incline. There's no sign to identify the house, though Google Maps is accurate. It felt like I'd dropped in at a relative's house who rarely sees me and offered a bed for the night, even though the price suggests a proper B&B. It would do if you just need somewhere to sleep and price isn't a concern, but I wouldn't recommend it if you want the usual B&B experience.
