Sandman Hotel Oakville

We loved our loft room. It was extremely clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the pool and hot tub were great. The front desk staff were wonderful, and the whole hotel was well kept. Everything exceeded what we expected. This was our first visit, and we’ll definitely be back. We had hoped to use the pool and hot tub again this morning, but the storm meant we left early to get home to Georgetown before the weather worsened.

I’m now an RSVP customer and plan to use this hotel chain whenever it’s available in my area. A surprisingly professional staff member, Salim, turned a stressful evening into a happy one, and I ended up enjoying everything about the hotel. Thanks. Good experiences feel less common these days. It was a last-minute trip, and online booking hadn’t worked for me, so I went to the hotel in person expecting possible problems. Salim was on duty and patiently helped with each issue, including a call to my credit card company. He entered the card manually while I was still on the call with the bank and resolved it. He also noticed that my card qualified for RSVP top status and made sure I received it. He found exactly the room type I needed, which made me very happy. I was also impressed hearing him speak French with one customer and German with another.

A great place to stay, with clean rooms and good service. Salim at the front desk was really friendly and accommodating. We just wish we could have booked a conference room at a reasonable price for a pizza party with our team. Outside food wasn’t allowed.

I left a $270 curling iron in my room and have spent almost a week trying to reach someone. I left three voicemails for housekeeping and one for the manager, sent a message through the website, and contacted Head Office. They replied once to ask which property I’d stayed at. After I confirmed Oakville, I heard nothing more. I also called the front desk four times at different hours. No one answered on three calls. The one time someone picked up, I was put on hold for more than 30 minutes before I gave up. My later calls went unanswered too. I understand lost belongings aren’t guaranteed to be found, but the total lack of acknowledgment or follow-up is unacceptable and has damaged my confidence in the property’s care and customer service. During our stay, the 4th-floor hallway also had obvious wear, with scratches all along the corridor. That added to the impression that neither the building nor guest concerns are being looked after properly.
