We’ve come back to this hotel over the years because it’s affordable for our travels, and our beds and bathrooms have always been clean and comfortable. The building really does need updates, but the people who run it deserve better reviews. Whenever an issue has come up, they’ve handled it with care, which is a big reason we return. Today there was a problem with our room, and the front desk employee and manager listened patiently without cutting us off, then fixed it right away. Both were polite and kind. It’s a low-key place that works well for budget-conscious travelers. There are lots of pets on the ground floor. We even saw a cute elderly couple traveling with their black kitty cat the other day. I believe pets are limited to the ground floor. I don’t usually review hotels, but customer service like this should be recognized. Let’s be kind in what we say and do, online too. I hope they can get the renovations they want someday, for the families whose livelihoods depend on this business. Safe travels, and be kind.

Convenient spot near the 401 and the mall, and good value for a one-night stay. The room was a bit dated but clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent thanks to Farzana. She was friendly and worked hard.

I called in the morning and gave someone my card details to reserve a room. They assured me I could split the payment across two cards because of the limits. After driving all the way there, I was told they couldn’t do that. Then the representative called the person I’d spoken with, who denied ever talking to me. What a farce. Get names and some kind of proof.

There was no pool, free breakfast, or restaurant, despite what was advertised. They have only one accessible room, and about 20 square feet of its carpet was soaked from a leaking HVAC unit. We were told maintenance would come, but nobody showed up. Housekeeping never came during our stay either. This place needs about $10 million in renovations or should close. It’s a disgrace for a major chain.

Feb 8, 2026: Farzana was so kind while serving breakfast at the hotel in Oshawa. The food was great, and her warm service made the morning better. Thank you for a lovely breakfast.
