Courtyard Ottawa East

My parents spent a month there and really enjoyed their stay. Housekeeping kept the rooms immaculate, the beds were super comfortable, and the washroom was huge. There was plenty of parking inside or out. The front desk staff were excellent and accommodated everything we asked for. They'd definitely come back. I'd give more than five stars if I could.

I found the cancellation and refund information very confusing and frustrating. I booked through Marriott Bonvoy on February 1, 2026 at 12:11, then cancelled at 16:35 that same day. The booking policy said cancellations within 24 hours were allowed, so I cancelled only a few hours after making the reservation. When I called the property on February 9, the representative said there would be no penalty and the refund should arrive within a few weeks. But on February 25, 2026, a supervisor named Yahia told me there would be no refund. That contradicted what I had been told earlier. When a guest cancels within hours and is told a refund will be issued, they reasonably expect that information to be reliable. For a property under Marriott International, I expected clearer communication and more consistent handling of cancellations and refunds.

We were very happy with our stay. The rooms were nice, we got upgraded, and the staff were great. Breakfast was good for the price, and there was a nice gym, pool, and hot tub. The location by the 417 was strategic, and we also got a good rate through the marriott app.

Quiet and clean, with free parking as a nice bonus. We went to a Christmas party with the Hiligaynon community, where the special guest was Philippine Ambassador Mr. Gonzaga. Breakfast was good and fairly priced. Thanks to the Marriott staff, especially the gentleman who held onto my scarf after I accidentally left it at the Bistro restaurant during breakfast.
