Straitview Ridge Bed & Breakfast

Such friendly hosts, and they greeted us with smiles and a lovely warm welcome. We'll definitely stay her again!

The room was spotless, bright, spacious, and very comfortable, with an incredibly comfortable king-size bed. We loved having a little kitchenette with a seating area, fridge, and dishes. There's no stove or sink, but making sandwiches was easy, and that suited us since we were out exploring all day. We stayed three nights in the Sunset Room and had private access to the terrace. The coastline view from the room was breathtaking. The B&B sits a little uphill rather than right on the beach, and deer grazed on the lawn in the mornings. In the evenings, relaxing on the terrace lounge furniture and watching the sunset was just wonderful. Bill made a fantastic breakfast in the dining room each morning. He'd worked for many years at the Fairmont in Victoria and is a fabulous chef. Bill and Janine also gave us lots of useful suggestions for places to visit nearby, and we had a great time following them. There are two large dogs in the house, so people with allergies or who aren't comfortable around dogs should know. Bill or Janine would surely be able to find a solution, though. We felt completely at ease and would love to return. They welcomed us warmly and shared all the information we needed.
