Earl Grey Lodge

Phil and Claire were kind, attentive hosts, and breakfast gave us a good start before heading out to the slopes. We stayed in Room 1 for all five days of our snowboarding trip. It had a lounge area, a queen bed, strong wifi, and a tub with plenty of hot water for a post-ski soak. There’s easy parking outside and gear storage right by the door, plus a well-equipped shared kitchen. Earl Grey Lodge is a comfortable place to stay, around a 5 to 8 minute walk from the village and close to Panorama Mountain Resort.

I wish we’d had more time to enjoy the calm and beautiful setting at Earl Grey Lodge and in panorama. The lodge is pet friendly, which I loved, though I wish my own cat liked travelling. Callie the cat is a sweet, friendly mouser and made the stay even better for me. Our room had a cozy feel, and the heated bathroom floor was a lovely touch. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with good wifi, and close to the hot springs and restaurants. Phil and Claire were kind and accommodating, and the breakfast had a great selection. On our first morning, a fawn was napping in the garden where we could see it from the breakfast room.

The location made everything easy, with the hot pools and ski hill base about a three minute walk away. Our room was lovely, especially the king bedroom with its seating area. It cost a bit more, but I’d recommend it. The hosts knew the area well and gave us useful recommendations. We had a great stay and will be back.

Our bikes were kept in secure indoor storage, which worked superbly, and the lodge also has boot dryers and ski storage for a winter visit. We spent three nights here while visiting the lift access bike park, just moments away. Claire and Phil were gracious, quick to respond, and happy to accommodate what we needed. Communication was easy, even while they were travelling themselves. We’ll come back to ski in winter. Thanks again, Phil and Claire!
