The Approach Hotel

The rooms are fine, and having bunk beds is nice. But staying in the same building as the T-Bar means the walls literally shake from the music until 2:00 AM. The sub-par ear plugs they provide do nothing for the bass. You can't beat how close it is to the lifts. The towels are another problem, they're small and threadbare. There are no towels to use at the hot tub in building A, and if you ask housekeeping for fresh ones, you may wait 3 days.

The rooms are basic but clean, and the staff were really accommodating. We especially liked being able to use the hot pools later on the day we checked out. We'll stay here again for sure.

The pool facility was awesome, though the cold pool felt very cold even on hot days. The golf course was beautiful, and its restaurant was amazing. Other restaurants were okay, if a little overpriced. The rooms are great and now have a mini fridge, but still no microwave anywhere on site. We got only two coffees for the whole two-night stay for two adults. We even called the front desk, and they had no idea the microwave wasn't there. Check-in was a bit confusing. The central check-in desk only told us about the parking lot and didn't mention we could pull up to the door to unload luggage, so we had to figure that out ourselves. Only one building had an elevator, and you could use it to reach the other building on the 3rd floor only. Things seemed a bit disorganized, maybe because it was opening weekend. We liked the area and the amenities for kids, though. We may come back, but likely to a different resort.

The room was very small and dark in an old building. The bathroom fan was loud, and the ice machine was broken. Someone came to look at both, but said they wouldn't be fixed during our stay. One of the worst stays overall.
