Hotel Motel Fleur De Lys

We had no hot water in the morning, which was really inconvenient, and we also questioned the room's cleanliness. My wife had an allergic reaction during our stay, though that hadn't happened anywhere else on our trip. We chose this motel partly because there were few pet-friendly options, but only on arrival did we learn of an extra pet fee, which hadn't been mentioned while booking, even though our pet stayed in a cage. We had also specifically booked and paid extra through Expedia for a beachside room. Instead, we got an ordinary first-floor room in the middle of the property, overlooking the parking lot, not the room shown in the photos. We were very disappointed.

It was easy to get to our motorcycles parked right outside, and the room was clean and remodeled. Space was tight, especially in the bathroom and shower. Someone over 300 pounds would have a very difficult time.

The owner was accommodating, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was great and the location excellent. But we could hear the neighbor through the wall even during a normal conversation. I booked a sea and rock view and got a restaurant parking lot view instead. Unless you're on the third floor, don't expect to see the rock from your room. Guests also pass right by your window on the way to their rooms, so we kept the curtains closed most of the time.

We slept and showered fine during our one-night stop, and the room was clean and remodeled. But the promised “sea view” turned out to be the parking lot view, haha. Maybe they call it that because there's a window out front, unlike the building behind it. The rooms are terribly insulated, so you can hear absolutely everything from next door. The nightly price could be lower.
