The breakfast had a Québécois touch, and the couple hosting us were gentle and friendly while still giving us privacy. Our room was nice and clean, and the price was good. It was quiet enough to sleep well, too. A good choice in this area, with lots to do in the two nearby towns. Saint Etienne was amazing at low tide! :)

After driving for six hours, we arrived to find there was no room for us. The woman said her husband had just returned from the hospital and cancelled our reservation without telling us. I showed her the receipt and explained I'd already paid, but she said, “Not my problem,” then slammed the door in my face. I sincerely recommend staying somewhere else.

The beds were comfortable, but what stood out most was how warmly the hosts welcomed us. We had a very pleasant stay at Gîte Marie-Claire, and breakfast was both excellent and plentiful.

The hosts were so welcoming and enthusiastic about their small tourism community. Breakfast was excellent, too. I highly recommend staying here, though the minimum stay is two nights.
