The view is beautiful, and there’s a mini aquarium at the bottom of the hill. Chafes landing, watershed, tinker's, ziplines, and a convenience store are all just minutes away. It’s a cozy spot, and you’re bound to meet hikers heading out or coming back on the trail. The cabin sits at the ECT entry and exit point. I hiked from Cape Spear and came up on the other side, so I’ll make sure to explore this section next time. Inside, there are two bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom, living room, cable, wifi, a deck, books, DVDs, and pretty much anything you could need. Already looking forward to returning.

The town is lovely, and this is a great place to stay if you can manage the hill. It’s inexpensive and cozy, with two bedrooms and a fold out futon for extra space. Nothing fancy, but comfortable, and just about ten steps from the East Coast trail. There’s no parking, though, so you have to leave the car at the bottom and walk up that really, really steep hill every time you go to the car or head out to do anything. Seriously steep.

The trail starts right outside the door and leads to a great adventure. Afterward, it’s a perfect spot to relax with lovely views. Love this place, you must stay here!

The cottage has an amazing view of the ocean and town, and it really makes you feel at home. Be sure to try the fish and chips at the restaurant nearby.
