Kouch Chalets

Stayed 24-28/09/2025. We found this place while traveling home across the East Coast and wanted somewhere pet friendly. It was a good price, not too far from PEI, and felt safe for our pet. There was plenty of room, a lovely kitchen and dining area, plus another dining spot on the screened porch. Add the outdoor seating and fireplace, and it was more than we expected. The people were wonderful and so accommodating that we extended our stay. The bright, clean space had a great feel, lots to do, and comfortable places to relax. Most of our visit fell during fire bans, but we caught some time after the ban lifted. The fire pits were great, and they supplied all the wood.

I first found this little hotel and its cabins while searching the area for a lost dog, and the owners made me feel so welcome. They were friendly and helpful, check-in was easy, and I liked my room a lot. It had a spacious bathroom, a comfortable bed, and everything I needed, including a TV, microwave, mini fridge, and air purifier. The supplied firewood by the fire pits made things feel cozy. I enjoyed the place enough to add another night. The owners arranged it for me and asked if I needed anything. I mentioned shampoo, conditioner, and coffee, and later found them waiting in my room. A lovely spot for some peace, quiet, and beauty. Thanks, I’ll definitely recommend it to everyone.

We ended up staying longer than planned, and I hope to return. Our chalet was spotless, with recently renovated interiors, though the resort itself is older. The location right at the edge of Kouchabouguac park was ideal. September was especially nice in the region: quiet, hardly any crowds, and very few bugs. We slept wonderfully with the skylight open and didn’t need heat or air conditioning. I could see this being a great place to bring kids. There are two beds on the main floor, a Murphy bed, and a pull-out couch.

A group of us came for cross-country skiing and had a really enjoyable long weekend. The location is great, and the renovations at Kouch Chalet look really nice. Looking forward to coming back next year.
